¹¹ Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. 

하나님 우리 아버지와 우리 주 예수는 우리 길을 너희에게로 직행하게 하옵시며

Three phrases of prayer at the end of joyful thanksgiving concerning the Thessalonians’ faith and love, a gospel (v6)!  ‘Direct our way to you’ (NASB). Our Father, our Lord, our way. As much as it is Paul’s longing to see them in person, the first and foremost thing is to be lead by the Father and Christ who is the author of these ‘good news’. He will determine how as well as what concerning believers.

¹² May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 

또 주께서 우리가 너희를 사랑함과 같이 너희도 피차간과 모든 사람에 대한 사랑이 더욱 많아 넘치게 하사

Now we know that such love is not at the human or even brotherly level. It is how God thought of us to the point of bereaving, orphaning, himself for our sake (2:17, 3:1).

¹³ May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.

너희 마음을 굳게 하시고 우리 주 예수께서 그의 모든 성도와 함께 강림하실 때에 하나님 우리 아버지 앞에서 거룩함에 흠이 없게 하시기를 원하노라

The One who comes and strengthens a believer is, though not directly mentioned by name, the Holy Spirit. He sticks us to such love of God and make us wear Christ so that we appear blameless and holy before the Father.  God fulfils his own command to us ‘Walk before Me (Heb. lit. in my face), and be blameless’ (Gen 17:1, NASB). Such God we call God Almighty, 전능하신 하나님, who provides the way as well as the outcome through His own presence, regardless of how we used to be, jealous, greedy, and angry. May this ultimate hope of and for the Thessalonians also be ours.

Lord, you make us have hope and into the hope through your being with us! For that reason we cannot give up hope in the face of all adversities. Your presence surpass them all my Lord my God. We weep and sow seed because in the night we may suffer but surely the morning comes, the morning of joy (Ps 30:5)! Let us overflow with your love toward each other. Let us love when we cannot love. Let us be clothed with you. You our Great Love who deprived yourself of everything for our sake, for my sake. Let us know this love. The almighty love that chases away death. Praise and shouts of joy be to your name, the Ultimate Wisdom and the Perfect Performer.
