답: 첫째, 하나님께서는 말씀의 봉사와 그 봉사를 위한 교육이 유지되기를 원하시며, 특히 안식의 날인 주일에 내가 하나님의 교회에 부지런히 참석하여, 하나님의 말씀을 경청하고 성례에 참여하며 주님을 공적(公的)으로 부르고 가난한 자들에게 기독교적 자비를 행하기 원하십니다.
둘째, 나의 일생 동안 악한 일들을 그만두고, 주께서 그의 성신으로 내 안에서 일하시게 하며, 그럼으로써 영원한 안식이 이 세상에서부터 시작되기를 원하십니다.
Q. What is God’s will for you in the fourth commandment?
A. First, that the gospel ministry and education for it be maintained,
and that, especially on the festive day of rest,
I diligently attend the assembly of God’s people to learn what God’s Word teaches, to participate in the sacraments, to pray to God publicly, and to bring Christian offerings for the poor.
Second, that every day of my life I rest from my evil ways,
let the Lord work in me through his Spirit, and so begin in this life
the eternal Sabbath.
