₆ Ik geef je nog vijftien jaar te leven, en Ik zal jou en deze stad redden uit de handen van de koning van Assyrië. Omwille van mijzelf en omwille van mijn dienaar David zal Ik deze stad beschermen.

13 히스기야는 문병 온 사절들을 환영하고 그들에게 자기 창고에 있는 은과 금과 향품과 값진 기름과 그리고 무기고에 있는 모든 것을 다 보여 주었으며 궁전과 나라 안에 있는 소중한 것 중에 보여 주지 않은 것이 하나도 없었다.

13 Hizkia nam hun boodschap in ontvangst en liet hun al zijn schatkamers zien: het zilver, het goud, het reukwerk, de kostbare oliën, en ook zijn arsenaal en alles wat zich in zijn magazijnen bevond. Er was niets in zijn paleis of in zijn rijk dat Hizkia hun niet liet zien. 

13 Hezekiah received the envoys and showed them all that was in his storehouses—the silver, the gold, the spices and the fine olive oil—his armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.

• 우리도 충실해야 합니다. 왜냐하면 그것이 하나님께서 충실하신 분이시라는 것은 아주 중요한 사실이기 때문에. 그렇지만 우리는 완전히 신실하지/충실하지 못하다는 것을 고백합니다.
• 하나님께서 하나님의 뜻에 합당할 때 우리의 소원과 맞아떨어지는 상황을 허락하신다면 우리는 그 상황보다도, 그것을 허락하신 하나님의 은혜와 지혜를 보기를 소원해야 합니다.
• 우리가 관계하는 모든 사람들을 – 가족, 친구 – 어떤 상황에서도 보호하고 약속을 지키고 배려하는 것이 하나님의 성품을 반영하는 것이라는 것을 기억합니다.

108문: 제7계명에서 하나님께서 원하시는 것은 무엇입니까?

답: 모든 부정(不貞)은 하나님의 저주 아래 있습니다.1 따라서 거룩한 혼인의 관계에 있든지 독신으로 있든지,2 우리는 어떤 부정이라도 마음으로부터 미워하고, 순결하고 단정한 생활을 해야 합니다.3

Q. What does the seventh commandment teach us?
A. That God condemns all unchastity,1 and that therefore we should thoroughly detest it2 and live decent and chaste lives,3 within or outside of the holy state of marriage.

109문: 하나님께서는 이 계명에서 간음, 또는 그와 같은 부끄러운 죄만을 금하십니까?

답: 우리의 몸과 영혼이 모두 성신의 전(殿)이기 때문에 우리가 몸과 영혼을 순결하고 거룩하게 지키기를 원하십니다.4 그렇기에 하나님께서는 모든 부정한 행동이나 몸짓, 말이나 생각이나 욕망,5 또한 그리로 유혹하는 모든 것을 금하십니다.6

Q. Does God, in this commandment, forbid only such scandalous sins as adultery?
A. We are temples of the Holy Spirit, body and soul, and God wants both to be kept clean and holy. That is why God forbids all unchaste actions, looks, talk, thoughts, or desires,1 and whatever may incite someone to them.2
