기분 좋고 화창하고 모든 것이 계획대로 이루어질 때 나는 꽤 괜찮은 사람처럼 보일 것이다. 그러나 일이 조금만 틀어지고 계획이 어그러지면 진짜 내 모습이 드러난다. 나의 틈이 드러나면 나는 내가 정말로 은혜가 필요한 사람임을 보게 된다. 그러나 정말로 중요한 것은 이것이다. 꽤 괜찮은 사람에게는 예수님이 필요 없다. 그분은 잃어버린 자를 위해 오셨다. 그분은 상한 자를 위해 오셨다. 우리를 사랑하시는 그분은 그분의 사랑과 온전함으로 우리를 인도하기 위해 오셨다.
When the day is lovely and sunny and everything is going according to plan, I can look like a pretty good person. But little things gone wrong and interrupted plans reveal who I really am; my cracks show and I see that I am profoundly in need of grace.But here’s the thing: pretty good people do not need Jesus. He came for the lost. He came for the broken. In his love for us he came to usher us into his foundness and wholeness.
