할렐루야, 내가 정직한 자들의 모임과 회중 가운데에서 전심으로 여호와께 감사하리로다
여호와께서 행하시는 일들이 크시오니 이를 즐거워하는 자들이 다 기리는도다
그의 행하시는 일이 존귀하고 엄위하며 그의 의가 영원히 서 있도다
그의 기적을 사람이 기억하게 하셨으니 여호와는 은혜로우시고 자비로우시도다
여호와께서 자기를 경외하는 자들에게 양식을 주시며 그의 언약을 영원히 기억하시리로다그가 그들에게 뭇 나라의 기업을 주사 그가 행하시는 일의 능력을 그들에게 알리셨도다
그의 손이 하는 일은 진실과 정의이며 그의 법도는 다 확실하니
영원무궁토록 정하신 바요 진실과 정의로 행하신 바로다
여호와께서 그의 백성을 속량하시며 그의 언약을 영원히 세우셨으니 그의 이름이 거룩하고 지존하시도다여호와를 경외함이 지혜의 근본이라 그의 계명을 지키는 자는 다 훌륭한 지각을 가진 자이니 여호와를 찬양함이 영원히 계속되리로다
Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart, In the company of the upright and in the assembly.
Great are the works of the LORD; They are studied by all who delight in them.
Splendid and majestic is His work, And His righteousness endures forever.
He has made His wonders to be remembered; The LORD is gracious and compassionate.
He has given food to those who fear Him; He will remember His covenant forever.He has made known to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations.
The works of His hands are truth and justice; All His precepts are sure.
They are upheld forever and ever; They are performed in truth and uprightness.
He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; Holy and awesome is His name.The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.
시편 Psalm 111
닮아야 할 단 한 분 THE ONE WE MUST RESEMBLE
시인은 시편 111편에서 주님의 모습을 그려낸 뒤에 112편에서는 어떻게 거룩한 백성들이 그분을 닮아 가야 하는지 설명합니다. 인간은 하나님의 ‘형상대로’ 지음 받았습니다(창1:27). 창조주와 관계를 맺으며 그분의 성품을 되비쳐 보이도록 빚어졌다는 뜻입니다. 그렇다면 우리가 닮아 가야 할 하나님은 어떤 분이십니까? 큰일을 행하시는 일꾼이십니다(2절). 의롭고(3절) 자비로우신(4-5절) 동시에 진리의 하나님이십니다(7-8절). 마지막으로 약속을 충실히 지키는 성실하신 하나님이십니다(9절). 이런 주님을 닮아 가자면 그분의 다스림에 순종할 뿐만 아니라(그 역시 대단히 중요하지만 그에 못지않게) “여호와를 경외”(10절)하는 마음을 품고 예배해야 합니다. 누구나 더없이 사랑하는 대상을 닮아가기 마련입니다.
Psalm 111 describes God and Psalm 112 how his people come to resemble their God. We were made in his “image” (Genesis 1:27). That means we were made to relate to him and reflect back to him his own character. So who is this God we should be like? God is a worker who makes things (verse 2). He is righteous (verse 3), compassionate (verses 4–5), and a God of truth (verses 7–8.) Finally, he is a God of integrity, who keeps his promises (verse 9). We will become like this not simply by obeying his rules (as important as that is) but through “the fear of the LORD” (verse 10), worshipping him with awe. We become like the things we love most.
기도 Prayer
주님, 늘 기도하고 거룩한 계명에 순종할지라도 정말 나를 변화시키는 힘은 진정한 예배와 찬양에서 나옵니다. 피상적인 종교 의식에 안주하지 않게 지켜 주십시오. 주님의 낯을 구하는 데서 오는 감격스러운 두려움이 내 마음을 가득 채우게 해 주십시오. 아멘. Lord, I may say my prayers and obey your commands, but it is true worship and adoration that will actually change me. Don’t let me settle for the shallows of mere religious compliance. Fill me with the joyful fear that comes as we seek your face. Amen.
