역대하 21-23장

제칠년에 여호야다가 용기를 내어 백부장 곧 여로함의 아들 아사랴와 여호하난의 아들 이스마엘과 오벳의 아들 아사랴와 아다야의 아들 마아세야와 시그리의 아들 엘리사밧 등과 더불어 언약을 세우매… 무리가 왕자(요아스)를 인도해 내어 면류관을 씌우며 율법책을 주고 세워 왕으로 삼을새 여호야다와 그의 아들들이 그에게 기름을 붓고 이르기를 왕이여 만세 수를 누리소서 하니라

In the seventh year Jehoiada showed his strength. He made a covenant with the commanders of units of a hundred: Azariah son of Jeroham, Ishmael son of Jehohanan, Azariah son of Obed, Maaseiah son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat son of Zicri…. Jehoiada and his sons brought out the king’s son and put the crown on him; they presented him with a copy of the covenant and proclaimed him king. They anointed him and shouted, “Long live the king!”

Maar na die zes jaar vatte Jojada moed. Hij sloot een verbond met de aanvoerders van honderd mannen. Dat waren Azarja de zoon van Jeroham, Ismaël de zoon van Johanan, Azarja de zoon van Obed, Maäseja de zoon van Adaja, en Elisafat de zoon van Zichri…. Toen brachten ze de zoon van koning Ahazia naar buiten. Ze zetten hem de kroon op en gaven hem het verbond. Zo kroonden ze hem tot koning. De priester Jojada zalfde hem. Iedereen juichte: “Leve de koning!”

23:1,11

오바댜 1장

네가 네 형제 야곱에게 행한 포학으로 말미암아 부끄러움을 당하고 영원히 멸절되리라 네가 멀리 섰던 날 곧 이방인이 그의 재물을 빼앗아 가며 외국인이 그의 성문에 들어가서 예루살렘을 얻기 위하여 제비 뽑던 날에 너도 그들 중 한 사람 같았느니라

Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever. On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them.

Want omdat je oorlog gevoerd hebt met je broer Israël, zal het slecht met je aflopen. Ik zal je voor altijd vernietigen. Vreemden namen Israëls leger gevangen. Buitenlanders drongen de poorten van de stad binnen. Ze lootten over het lot van Jeruzalem. En jij sloot je aan bij de vijanden van je broer Israël!

10:10,11

열왕기하 1

말하되 여호와의 말씀이 네가 사자를 보내 에그론의 신 바알세붑에게 물으려 하니 이스라엘에 그의 말을 물을 만한 하나님이 안 계심이냐 그러므로 네가 그 올라간 침상에서 내려오지 못할지라 네가 반드시 죽으리라 하셨다 하니라
왕이 엘리야가 전한 여호와의 말씀대로 죽고 그가 아들이 없으므로 여호람이 그를 대신하여 왕이 되니 유다 왕 여호사밧의 아들 여호람의 둘째 해였더라

He told the king, “This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!”
So he died, according to the word of the LORD that Elijah had spoken. Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

En hij zei tegen de koning: “Dit zegt de Heer: U heeft boodschappers gestuurd naar Baäl-Zebub, de god van Ekron, om hem om raad te vragen. Is er dan geen God in Israël die u om raad kunt vragen? Omdat u dit heeft gedaan, zult u niet meer uit uw bed komen. U zal sterven.” En koning Ahazia stierf, zoals de Heer door Elia had gezegd. Na hem werd Joram koning van Israël, want Ahazia had geen zoon. Joram,[b] de zoon van Josafat, was toen twee jaar koning van Juda.

1:16-17

하나님의 약속을 버리고 악한 영향력과 교만한 길을 따라가는 우리를 오래 참으시되, 끝까지 사랑하신 하나님. 우리의 피난처 되신 굳건하시고 전능하신 하나님과 관계 맺기 싫어하는 우리 속에 있는 죄가 끈질기고 참담합니다. 그러나 성령님의 능력으로 그리스도를 통해 이제는 그 굴레에서 우리를 꺼내어 주신 하나님의 손을 잡고, 하나님께 아뢰며, 들으시는 하나님을 보고 좇아가는 우리가 되게 하소서. 형제 앞에 덫을 놓지 않고 이 하나님께로 인도하는 우리가 되게 하소서.

시편 5편

오만한 자들이 주의 목전에 서지 못하리이다 주는 모든 행악자를 미워하시며
거짓말하는 자들을 멸망시키시리이다 여호와께서는 피 흘리기를 즐기는 자와 속이는 자를 싫어하시나이다
오직 나는 주의 풍성한 사랑을 힘입어 주의 집에 들어가 주를 경외함으로 성전을 향하여 예배하리이다

The arrogant cannot stand in your presence; you hate all who do wrong.
You destroy those who tell lies; bloodthirsty and deceitful men the LORD abhors.
But I, by your great mercy, will come into your house; in reverence will I bow down toward your holy temple.

Dwazen kunnen niet blijven bestaan voor de blik van uw ogen.
U haat het als mensen slechte dingen doen.
U vernietigt alle leugenaars.
U walgt van moordenaars en bedriegers.
Maar dankzij uw grote liefde mag ík uw huis binnen gaan.
Vol ontzag zal ik mij voor U neerbuigen in uw heiligdom.

5:5-7

우리가 하나님 앞에 온 것은 오직 주의 풍성한 사랑 때문임을 기억하게 하소서. 거룩하신 하나님 앞에서 다른 것을 내세우는 오만한 악을 가볍게 여기지 않는 두려움과 정직한 마음을 주소서. 내 안에 하나님의 은혜로우심을 왜곡하는 세계관과 패턴이 찔리게 하시고, 우리가 무심히, 무언으로 흘려보내고 물려주는 사람의 생각과 전통이 끊어지게 하소서.
