출애굽기 30-34장

나와 주의 백성이 주의 목전에 은총 입은 줄을 무엇으로 알리이까 주께서 우리와 함께 행하심으로 나와 주의 백성을 천하 만민 중에 구별하심이 아니니이까
여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 네가 말하는 이 일도 내가 하리니 너는 내 목전에 은총을 입었고 내가 이름으로도 너를 앎이니라
모세가 이르되 원하건대 주의 영광을 내게 보이소서

How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”
And the LORD said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”
Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

Dan weet ik dat u goed wilt zijn voor mij en voor uw volk. Dan begrijpen we dat wij een bijzonder volk voor u zijn, anders dan alle andere volken.’
De Heer zei tegen Mozes: ‘Ik zal zeker doen wat je vraagt, ik zal goed voor je zijn. Want ik heb je uitgekozen.’
Daarna zei Mozes: ‘Laat mij toch zien wie u bent!’

33:16-18

여호와께서 구름 가운데에 강림하사 그와 함께 거기 서서 여호와의 이름을 선포하실새 여호와께서 그의 앞으로 지나시며 선포하시되 여호와라 여호와라 자비롭고 은혜롭고 노하기를 더디하고 인자와 진실이 많은 하나님이라
인자를 천대까지 베풀며 악과 과실과 죄를 용서하리라 그러나 벌을 면제하지는 아니하고 아버지의 악행을 자손 삼사 대까지 보응하리라

Then the LORD came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the LORD. And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,
maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.”

Toen kwam de Heer in een wolk naar beneden. Hij kwam naast Mozes staan en hij zei: ‘Ik ben de Heer.’
Daarna ging de Heer voor Mozes langs. De Heer riep: ‘Ik ben de Heer! Ik ben een goede God. Ik zorg voor de mensen. Ik ben geduldig, trouw en vol liefde.
Mijn liefde voor mensen duurt duizenden generaties. Ik vergeef mensen alles wat ze verkeerd doen, ook als ze grote fouten maken. Maar ik straf mensen als ze mij ontrouw zijn. En ik straf ook hun kinderen, tot en met de vierde generatie.’

34:5-7

우리를 동정하시고 너그러우시고 화를 참으시며 사랑이 많으시고 약속을 지키시는 하나님. 우리가 악할 것을 내다보시고 하나님의 성품을 다 뿜어내셔서 우리를 용서하시고 우리 길을 같이 가시기로 정하셨습니다. 그 벌을 예수 그리스도에게 보응하신 하나님의 지혜를 다 깨닫지 못합니다. 우리에게 간간히 고난과 어려움이 아직도 미치는 섭리를 이해하지 못합니다. 그러나 우리를 그 손으로 덮으셔서 살게 하신 하나님의 모습을 기억하게 하소서.

시편 79편

우리 조상들의 죄악을 기억하지 마시고 주의 긍휼로 우리를 속히 영접하소서 우리가 매우 가련하게 되었나이다
우리 구원의 하나님이여 주의 이름의 영광스러운 행사를 위하여 우리를 도우시며 주의 이름을 증거하기 위하여 우리를 건지시며 우리 죄를 사하소서

Do not hold against us the sins of the fathers; may your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need.
Help us, O God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.

God, onze ellende is groot.
Vergeef ons, wacht niet langer!
Straf ons niet voor de fouten van onze voorouders.
U bent machtig,
help ons en red ons.
U bent onze God,
red ons en vergeef ons!

79:8-9

우리의 소원을 들어주시며 우리에게 하나님의 영광을 보이실 때 알아보게 하소서. 하나님께서 우리가 보고 살 수 있을 만큼만 주의 형상을 우리에게 내어 보이실 때에 우리가 죽지 않음으로 도리어 자만하지 않게 하소서. 가련하게 된 자들의 교만을 용서하소서. 없는 자의 분노를 용서하소서. 주의 이름을 위하여 우리를 가르치시고 돌이키셔서 우리도 하나님을 따라 우리의 악을 미워하여 가련함과 궁핍함에 계속 빠지고 마는 피곤함에서 구해지게 하소서.
