역대상 23-27장

이 여러 사람도 다윗 왕과 사독과 아히멜렉과 제사장과 레위 우두머리 앞에서 그들의 형제 아론 자손처럼 제비 뽑혔으니 장자의 가문과 막내 동생의 가문이 다름이 없더라

They also cast lots, just as their brothers the descendants of Aaron did, in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites. The families of the oldest brother were treated the same as those of the youngest.

Net als bij de priesters werd er geloot in welke volgorde ze zouden werken. Hierbij waren koning David, Zadok, Ahimelech en de familiehoofden van de priesters en van de Levieten aanwezig. Er werd over iedereen geloot: van de oudste zoon tot de jongste zoon van elke familie.

24:31

이스라엘 사람의 이십 세 이하의 수효는 다윗이 조사하지 아니하였으니 이는 여호와께서 전에 말씀하시기를 이스라엘 사람을 하늘의 별 같이 많게 하리라 하셨음이라
스루야의 아들 요압이 조사하기를 시작하고 끝내지도 못해서 그 일로 말미암아 진노가 이스라엘에게 임한지라 그 수효를 다윗 왕의 역대지략에 기록하지 아니하였더라

David did not take the number of the men twenty years old or less, because the LORD had promised to make Israel as numerous as the stars in the sky.
Joab son of Zeruiah began to count the men but did not finish. Wrath came on Israel on account of this numbering, and the number was not entered in the book of the annals of King David.

David had niet de mannen laten tellen die jonger dan 20 jaar waren. Want de Heer had gezegd, dat Hij Israël zo ontelbaar zou maken als de sterren aan de hemel. Joab, de zoon van Zeruja, was wel met tellen begonnen, maar had het niet afgemaakt. Want de Heer was er kwaad over geworden dat David het volk liet tellen. Daarom is in de boeken met de geschiedenis van koning David niet opgeschreven hoeveel mannen het waren.

27:23-24

한 사람 한 사람의 희로애락도 보시고 알고 계시는 하나님께서 우리 모두를 불러 하나님의 집을 세우시고, 그 집 안에 각각 다른 여러 자리를 정하십니다. 우리 각자의 사정을 무시하시는 것이 아니요, 오히려 모든 상황과 은사와 역할이 하나님 나라 안에서 제자리가 있게 하십니다. 한 사람 한 사람의 자리가 귀하고, 하나님의 질서와 공의와 사랑 안에서 하나를 이룬 주의 집이 거룩합니다. 우리 마음과 생각을 지켜 주셔서 하나님의 집에 어울리지 않는 것들을 분별해 내게 하시고, 나에게 맡겨진 자리를 지키고 인내하고 감당하는 복을 누리게 하소서.

시편 136편

하늘의 하나님께 감사하라 그 인자하심이 영원함이로다

136:26

인자하심이 영원하신 하나님. 하나님 아버지의 인자하심은 사랑이시고, 신실이시며, 우리의 환난 날에 도움이시고, 어리석을 때에 지혜이시며, 인색할 때에 너그러움이 되십니다. 주와 모든 것이 반대되는 나를 사랑하신 하나님. 내 안에 먼지만큼이라도 하나님을 닮은 모습만 영원히 남게 하소서.
