신명기 12-15장

우리가 오늘 여기에서는 각기 소견대로 하였거니와 너희가 거기에서는 그렇게 하지 말지니라

You are not to do as we do here today, everyone as he sees fit,

Jullie mogen niet meer offeren waar je maar wil, zoals jullie tot nu toe hebben gedaan.

12:8

너는 이 진멸할 물건을 조금도 네 손에 대지 말라 그리하면 여호와께서 그의 진노를 그치시고 너를 긍휼히 여기시고 자비를 더하사 네 조상들에게 맹세하심 같이 너를 번성하게 하실 것이라

None of those condemned things shall be found in your hands, so that the LORD will turn from his fierce anger; he will show you mercy, have compassion on you, and increase your numbers, as he promised on oath to your forefathers,

En jullie mogen niets houden van wat er in die stad was, want het is vervloekt. Dan zal de Heer God niet langer kwaad zijn en zal Hij goed voor jullie zijn. Dan zal Hij jullie tot een groot volk maken, zoals Hij aan jullie voorvaders Abraham, Izaäk en Jakob heeft beloofd.

13:17

네 마음에 원하는 모든 것을 그 돈으로 사되 소나 양이나 포도주나 독주 등 네 마음에 원하는 모든 것을 구하고 거기 네 하나님 여호와 앞에서 너와 네 권속이 함께 먹고 즐거워할 것이며

Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice.

Gebruik dat geld om daar te kopen waar jullie zin in hebben: koeien, schapen of geiten, wijn of andere drank of wat jullie ook maar willen. Maak er een feestmaaltijd van klaar bij de Heer en eet daarvan met je gezin.

14:26

네가 만일 네 하나님 여호와의 말씀만 듣고 내가 오늘 네게 내리는 그 명령을 다 지켜 행하면 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 기업으로 주신 땅에서 네가 반드시 복을 받으리니 너희 중에 가난한 자가 없으리라 … 땅에는 언제든지 가난한 자가 그치지 아니하겠으므로 내가 네게 명령하여 이르노니 너는 반드시 네 땅 안에 네 형제 중 곤란한 자와 궁핍한 자에게 네 손을 펼지니라

However, there should be no poor among you, for in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you,…There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land.

Niemand van jullie hoeft trouwens arm te zijn. Want de Heer zal goed voor jullie zijn in het land dat Hij jullie gaat geven. … Want er zullen altijd wel arme mensen in het land zijn. Daarom beveel ik jullie dat jullie gul moeten zijn voor de arme mensen en voor de mensen die het moeilijk hebben.

15:4,11

주여, 우리로 정의와 자유를 외면하지 않게 하소서. 약한 자의 고통을 보고도 지나치지 않게 하시고, 공동체 안에서 하나님의 공의가 드러나는 일에 지혜와 용기를 주소서. 자비와 관용과 정의가 우리 밖에 있는 말씀이 아니라 우리의 삶이 되게 하소서. 우리가 사는 것은 하나님의 은혜로 사는 것입니다. 우리가 나누는 것도, 용서하는 것도, 정의를 구하는 것도 하나님께 받은 은혜로 하는 것입니다. 이 은혜를 깊이 알고, 오늘 우리의 삶 속에서 살아내게 하소서.

시편 101편

사악한 마음이 내게서 떠날 것이니 악한 일을 내가 알지 아니하리로다
자기의 이웃을 은근히 헐뜯는 자를 내가 멸할 것이요 눈이 높고 마음이 교만한 자를 내가 용납하지 아니하리로다

Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.
Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure.

Ik wil niet oneerlijk zijn.
Ik ga niet om met slechte mensen.
Ik wil niets te maken hebben met iemand die over anderen roddelt.
Mensen die op anderen neerkijken, wil ik niet in mijn buurt hebben.

101:4-5

우리의 마음과 길을 살피시는 하나님, 우리 안에 정직한 마음을 주소서. 사람 앞에서 보이는 삶뿐 아니라 아무도 보지 않는 자리에서도 주께 속한 자로 살게 하소서. 우리의 눈과 마음을 흐리게 하며 하나님의 의로움에서 벗어나게 하는 것들을 분별하게 하시고, 단호히 거절할 수 있는 지혜를 주소서. 주의 집 안에서 온전한 마음으로 말하고 행동하게 하소서. 우리 곁에 주를 경외하며 신실하게 걷는 사람들을 보내 주시고, 우리도 누군가에게 주와 동행하는 길을 격려하는 사람이 되게 하소서.
