신명기 21-25장

너는 이와 같이 여호와께서 보시기에 정직한 일을 행하여 무죄한 자의 피 흘린 죄를 너희 중에서 제할지니라

So you will purge from yourselves the guilt of shedding innocent blood, since you have done what is right in the eyes of the LORD.

Zo moeten jullie de schuld voor de dood van onschuldige mensen uit Israël wegdoen. Want zo doen jullie wat de Heer rechtvaardig vindt.

21:9

네 하나님 여호와께 서원하거든 갚기를 더디하지 말라 네 하나님 여호와께서 반드시 그것을 네게 요구하시리니 더디면 그것이 네게 죄가 될 것이라

If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the LORD your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin.

Als je de Heer God iets belooft, stel dan niet uit om te doen wat je hebt beloofd. Want de Heer God wil dat je doet wat je hebt beloofd. Als je dat niet doet, ben je schuldig.

23:21

네가 밭에서 곡식을 벨 때에 그 한 뭇을 밭에 잊어버렸거든 다시 가서 가져오지 말고 나그네와 고아와 과부를 위하여 남겨두라 그리하면 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 손으로 하는 모든 일에 복을 내리시리라

When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Als je de oogst van je akker binnenhaalt en een bos graan vergeet mee te nemen, ga dan niet terug om hem op te halen. Laat hem liggen voor de vreemdelingen, de weduwen en de weeskinderen. Dan zal de Heer God goed voor je zijn bij alles wat je doet.

24:19

곡식 떠는 소에게 망을 씌우지 말지니라
형제들이 함께 사는데 그 중 하나가 죽고 아들이 없거든 그 죽은 자의 아내는 나가서 타인에게 시집 가지 말 것이요 그의 남편의 형제가 그에게로 들어가서 그를 맞이하여 아내로 삼아 그의 남편의 형제 된 의무를 그에게 다 행할 것이요

Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.
If brothers are living together and one of them dies without a son, his widow must not marry outside the family. Her husband’s brother shall take her and marry her and fulfill the duty of a brother-in-law to her.

Je mag een os die in de oogst werkt, geen muilkorf omdoen want dan kan hij niet eten. Als twee broers dicht bij elkaar wonen en de één sterft zonder dat hij kinderen heeft gekregen, dan mag zijn vrouw niet met een man buiten de familie trouwen. De broer van haar man moet met haar trouwen.

25:4-5

어떤 상황 속에서도 생명을 거룩하게 보시고 한 사람 한 사람을 깊이 존엄히 여기시는 하나님. 우리 안에 거룩함과 순결과 정직을 사모하는 마음을 더욱 주소서. 모든 약속과 관계와 일의 자리에서 진실하고 성실하게 하소서. 가난하고 소외된 이들의 필요를 보게 하시고, 약한 자를 외면하지 않고, 우리의 손과 마음이 자비와 공정함으로 열리게 하소서. 주께서 지으신 모든 생명을 향한 자비를 배우게 하소서.

시편 103편

이는 하늘이 땅에서 높음 같이 그를 경외하는 자에게 그의 인자하심이 크심이로다
동이 서에서 먼 것 같이 우리의 죄과를 우리에게서 멀리 옮기셨으며
아버지가 자식을 긍휼히 여김 같이 여호와께서는 자기를 경외하는 자를 긍휼히 여기시나니
이는 그가 우리의 체질을 아시며 우리가 단지 먼지뿐임을 기억하심이로다

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;
as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

Maar zo hoog als de hemel is boven de aarde,
zó groot is zijn liefde voor de mensen die diep ontzag voor Hem hebben.
Hij tilt onze ongehoorzaamheid van ons af
en zo ver als het oosten is van het westen,
zó ver werpt Hij die bij ons vandaan.

Net zoals een vader goed zorgt voor zijn kinderen,
zó goed zorgt Hij voor de mensen die diep ontzag voor Hem hebben.
Want Hij weet waarvan wij gemaakt zijn.
Hij vergeet niet dat wij maar stof zijn.

103:11-14

자비롭고 은혜로우시며 노하기를 더디 하시고 인자하심이 풍성하신 하나님! 약하고 지친 우리의 삶에 다시 힘을 주시고, 무너진 자리마다 주의 회복을 허락하소서. 우리가 받은 자비와 긍휼을 다른 이들에게도 드러내게 하시고, 우리의 관계 안에 주의 연민이 흐르게 하소서. 억눌린 자를 위해 공의로 일하시는 하나님을 따라, 우리도 공동체 안에서 정의와 의로움을 외면하지 않게 오늘도 마음과 행동을 깨워 주소서.
